I am an academic staff member (wiss. Mitarbeiterin) and English
instructor - part of a team of colleagues teaching the language courses
offered by the Language Center of the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences.
In addition, I coordinate the Language Center's planning as its head.
This is the website
I have used in the past to provide my students with information and materials related to the
courses I teach. Each course has its own page, which can be found by clicking
on the "My courses" link in the navigation menu on the lefthand
side of this page. However, in the fall of 2009, I transferred the course content and materials to the university's CMS (Stud.IP),
which offers many more functions than a simple little website like mine
can offer. I will continue to maintain this space, as I am very
fond of my humble corner of the Internet, but it will probably become a
more static location, as I will only be updating the course material in
Stud.IP from now on - we'll just have to wait and see what (new?) use
my site can be put to in future.
I
have office hours twice a week (current details on the university website), but I do ask students and
colleagues to send an e-mail in advance, so that I can be sure to be in
my office when they come. I am available for evaluating English skills
for scholarship/grant applications (eg. DAAD, InWent, Erasmus, PROMOS, etc.).
In addition, I maintain a page of "Helpful links for students", which includes references to websites related to learning English as well as to studying and working abroad in English-speaking countries. I am always grateful for suggestions for additions to my list ;-)
